A new game called Internship

On popular demand from the colleges we visited for campus, Synechron is setting up another strategic game field – the Internship! It aims at strengthening the academia-industry relationship by providing a platform to the hired Junior Associates to enhance their practical knowledge by working on live projects during their final semester.
Rules of the game
1.    Interns are supposed to be spending 6 months full time in Synechron premises from January to June.
2.    The work hours would be would be from Monday to Friday either from 8 am to 5 pm (1st shift) or 12 pm to 9 m (2nd shift) depending upon the project requirement.
3.    There would be no remuneration during this period.
4.    The interns can avail the transport facility free of cost during the internship period.
5.    Dress code policy (Formals from Monday to Thursday and Business Casuals on Friday) needs to be strictly adhered to.
6.    A copy of final project report needs to be submitted to Synechron.
The catch
1.    100% attendance is compulsory failing which the completion certificate would be withheld.
2.    A regular evaluation would be done on periodic basis during the internship period.
The win -
1.    State-of-art working environment along with step-by-step guidance from experts
2.    Completion certificate from Synechron
3.    Immediate allocation to project on joining
Man of the match

Project Competition

Be it an engineering aspirant or one who is pursuing MCA, each one has to execute project work in the final semester. It carries a lot of weightage – 150 marks in case of the B.E./B.Tech and a whooping 500 marks in case of MCA. It is primarily to assess the application of what has been learnt in theory.
At Synechron too, we believe that practical application is utmost important. To evaluate this and help us understand your understanding of the subjects we are coming up with a project competition. There is nothing different you need to do – just continue to keep doing your own project that you have taken up; but with a little more sincerity. It is not only going to fetch you good marks in academics, but also a chance to flaunt your presentation skills and cash prizes!

Synechron creates a buzz in college campuses

‘We went… we saw… we conquered!’ Synechron’s new initiative to hire young talent from campus was no less than an enthrallment and this popular phrase aptly describes our experience with campus hiring. The year 2011 was the first time when Synechron has taken up campus as a strategic enterprise. We have made offers to 351 ignited minds that are expected to bring to the table great academics, a variety of talents, fresh thoughts, an open mind and eagerness to blend with the culture of Synechron. These people come from premier Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) and Management (MCA) schools in Pune and various parts of Maharashtra.
Well, with the giant IT competitors already running in a fray to attract the cream, hiring these 351 Junior Associates was no mean task. This talent pool was selected from a humongous pool of around 3000 aspirants who went through a rigorous screening process by our proficient panels. Our campus day typically began with a Pre Placement Talk followed by aptitude test, technical evaluation and an HR interview. The offer letters were handed over to the students at the end of the day and the celebrations ended with a cake cutting ceremony for the offered.
12 days… 12 colleges… 351 offers!  The Synechron buzz has been created already!
